The AquaSphere project is pleased to announce the opening of a new training cycle of the “Integrated Digital Education Program for Maritime Innovation”, taking place from 15 March to 30 April 2026.

Developed within the framework of the EIT HEI Initiative project “AquaSphere – Empowering Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) Capabilities for Water and Maritime Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, this free digital training programme aims to strengthen innovation ecosystems and promote knowledge transfer in the fields of the blue economy and maritime innovation.
Coordinated by the Technical University of Crete and implemented by a consortium of six partners, the programme invites undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students to participate in a fully online MOOC designed to equip the next generation of innovators with key entrepreneurial and technological skills.
Programme highlights
Participants will gain practical insights into key areas shaping the future of maritime innovation, including:
- Blue economy market analysis
- Sustainable business model innovation
- Maritime technology validation
- Investment landscape in the blue economy
- Scaling water technology enterprises
- Impact assessment in maritime innovation
The programme combines cutting-edge digital learning methods with specialized knowledge to support students interested in innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable water management.
More than 400 students have already completed the programme and received the EIT Higher Education Initiative Digital Certificate.
Certification
Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive a Digital Certificate issued by the EIT Higher Education Initiative.
