The IDEAS Programme returns in Fall 2026, giving you another chance to join an inspiring community of innovators, explore new opportunities, and turn your ideas into impact.

Do you have an innovative idea relevant to   blue economy and maritime sectors? Then turn it into a startup!

We invite motivated university students with entrepreneurial mindset and innovative ideas to apply to IDEAS, a cutting-edge venture support programme under the AQUASPHERE project, powered by the EIT HEI Initiative and supported by EIT Raw Materials.

• Who Can Apply?
  • Students (Bachelor, Master, or PhD) from:
    • Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)
    • Associate partner universities/organizations
  • Applicants can apply individually or in teams
  • You must have an early-stage business idea, ideally aligned with blue economy, maritime and sustainability .

  2. Deadline to apply: October 22nd , 2026
  3. Selected participants will be contacted by October 30^th
  4. Programme kicks off early November and lasts for 6 weeks

What is IDEAS?

IDEAS is a startup support programme designed to empower students to turn their innovative ideas into viable startups in the sustainable blue economy sectors. The 6-week programme is delivered virtually and tailored for student entrepreneurs. Over the course of the programme, you will receive expert mentoring, access digital resources, and get the chance to get exposure for your innovative project.

  • Call opens: September 10, 2026
  • Call closes: October 22, 2026
  • Selection & onboarding: By end of October 2026
  • Programme starts: Early November
  • Duration: 6 Weeks
