As part of the “AquaSphere” project of the EIT Higher Education Initiative, which aims to strengthen innovation ecosystems, promote technology transfer, and drive institutional change in higher education, the Technical University of Crete, in collaboration with the Innovation Business Observatory (IBO) of Crete Region is organizing the 5th workshop of the “Water Innovators Academy Development”, on 23 of March 2026 (13.30-15.00 Athens Time). https://ibo.crete.gov.gr/staff-training-blue-economy/
The AquaSphere project focuses on building comprehensive innovation capacity in the fields of the blue economy and water resources management within participating higher education institutions. A key objective is to enhance institutional commitment and foster meaningful change through tailored training opportunities for academic and non-academic staff.
The workshop will take place immediately following the Collaboration Room for Blue Growth, also organized by the Innovation Business Observatory (IBO) of Crete Region , in the strategic sector of Blue Growth, a priority area for the “Sustainable Use of Resources” in the Smart Specialization Strategy of the Region of Crete – RIS3Crete.
