The 3rd Workshop of the “Water Innovators Academy Development” series will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, as part of the HEI EIT AquaSphere project. This session is organized by the Université of Antilles (UoA) and will take place at the Amphitheater of the School of Medicine (UFR de Médecine), with remote participation available for members of the European consortium.
In alignment with AquaSphere’s mission to strengthen entrepreneurial capacities within the blue economy, this workshop focuses on Technology Transfer in Maritime Sectors, with a thematic emphasis tailored to the specificities of the Caribbean: the valorization of sargassum through biomolecule extraction.
The session will be led by Dr. Gerardo Cebrian-Torrejon and the research team of COVACHIM-2ME, who will present current advances in marine biotechnologies, applied research pathways, and opportunities for innovation related to sargassum transformation.
It will take place from 09:00 to 13:00 (Guadeloupe time, GMT-4) / 14:00 to 18:00 CET.

As with previous workshops, the training material will remain accessible through the MOOC on the project’s official website – under the Activities tab – for registered participants. Upon completion of all four sessions, attendees will receive the EIT HEI Digital Certificate, confirming their engagement in a high-level, contemporary learning experience.
